ABOUT 
NOPINZ is a British cycling apparel brand based in Devon, founded in 2014. The company transformed race kit design with the patented SpeedPocket, a pin-free number pocket now widely used in competitive cycling. NOPINZ is proudly B Corp certified and is committed to sustainability, focusing on minimising fabric waste, using recycled packaging, offsetting carbon emissions, and sourcing energy from renewable resources.
​The brand produces a range of high-performance collections for all types of cyclists, including:
• Hypersonic – wind-tunnel tested, WorldTour-approved skinsuits for maximum speed
• Pro-1 Evo – race-cut kit designed for exceptional performance at an accessible price point
• Endurance – comfortable kit with a more relaxed fit for long-distance riding
• SubZero – the world’s first indoor-specific cycling kit featuring FreezePockets for active core cooling
​Since its launch, NOPINZ has grown from producing UK-made custom and club kit to working internationally with professional teams and developing innovative products for both outdoor racing and indoor training.
MY ROLE
I began my career at NOPINZ as a seamstress, gaining a strong understanding of garment construction and production techniques. I later moved into a graphic design role where I:
• Design seasonal collections, bespoke customer artwork, and patterns for special-edition items
• Produce visual content for the new website and work in 3D design to showcase products
• Create detailed tech packs for overseas manufacturing partners and the in-house team
• Manage sewing methods between overseas and in-house seamstresses to ensure quality and consistency
• Oversee the full process from pattern-making to liaising with suppliers and supervising printing, cutting, and sewing
​By combining my skills in textile design, digital graphics, and garment construction, I ensure every piece of apparel not only looks exceptional but also delivers the highest level of performance for elite athletes and dedicated cycling enthusiasts.
CLIENT PROFILE
Nopinz is a high-performance cycling brand where technical innovation meets bold visual identity. Every garment is meticulously engineered for speed, but it’s also designed to be seen. From aero suits that slice through the wind to training kits that light up the road, Nopinz fuses cutting-edge function with unapologetically modern design. Colour, contrast, and clarity are essential—because standing out matters as much as performance.
Our rider is mostly male, aged 25–50, and lives and breathes cycling—from weekend races to mid-week training blocks. He’s found on the start line of time trials, hammering through fast group rides, or solo on rolling terrain before dawn. Based largely in the UK and Europe, he lives in cities or cycling-friendly rural spots, balancing a demanding day job—often in tech, engineering, or design—with his commitment to the sport.
This customer is drawn to modern aesthetics: bright colour blocking, saturated neons, sharp contrasts, and graphic prints that make a statement on the road. Visibility isn’t just practical—it’s part of the performance. He wants kit that looks fast, feels fast, and turns heads.
Beyond cycling, he appreciates design that’s smart and functional—his world is filled with sleek gear, high-spec gadgets, and well-crafted details. For him, style and substance aren’t opposites; they’re inseparable. And his cycling kit? It’s as much about identity as it is about aerodynamics.
